Meaning:

by; for; in; using; with

in, at, on

で is used to indicate the location of an action.

Example sentences(Usage):

震える指で、彼女は封筒を開けた。
She opened the envelope with her trembling fingers.
furueru yubi de, kanojo wa fuutou o aketa.

この帽子はどこで買いましたか？
Where did you buy this hat?
kono boushi wa doko de kaimashita ka.

このレストランで食事しましょう。
Let’s eat at this restaurant.
kono resutoran de shokuji shimashou.
